The amount of astigmatism is determined by the value of the CYL. The axis is merely the direction on which the astigmatism is. Therefore, the size of the axis is irrelevant when deciding whether or whether not you need toric lenses. It only depends on the size of the CYL value, Generally, toric lenses are considered for cyls greater then 0.75 or 1.00. You only have 0.25, which is the smallest possible amount of astigmatism and this definitely does not require toric contact lenses
