How do couples live together at university?

i have been with my boyfriend 2 years and now and were going to go to university, we have both applied for the same areas, e.g. nottigham trent and university of nottingham, however i dont know how we would be able to live together becuase we will be in different universities. we have both applied can anyone give me advice on what happens from here?
