Baby due in 2weeks and not knowing what to dress him in to leave hospital.?

With all this nice weather i do not have a clue what clothing to put him in. i don't want him overheating at the same time i don't want him being to cold. I had in mind a vest, sleep-suit and then a blanket if weather is nice and a little cardi if the weather is chilly. is this right?
