Gee it couldn't possibly be that the school favors the jocks and preps who put everyone down and the administration turning a blind eye because "They may go to State this year". It could also be the fact that most families raise their kids to belittle anyone who is different. Also the fact that parents now-a-days would rather blame television and videogames for their own bad parenting, so they just go ahead and drug up their kids so that they fall inline. I'm very sorry we didn't grow up in the cookie cut fantasy land that you had. Welcome to the real world lady, if the kids are screwed you only have yourself to blame.
