Never use any liquid except a lens cleaner made for camera lenses. You need to buy this at a camera store, and also a microfiber cloth. Then if the lens doesn't get clean with just the cloth, put a drop of the lens cleaner on the cloth and gently wipe the lens. Dry it with another section of the cloth.
