Why did the "Ottoman architecture" look so similar to Bizantine architecture?.. was it because Turks copied it?

Yes, Byzantine Architecture influenced Ottoman Architecture, which in reality is quite normal as the capital city switched hands...but the Ottomans did add there minarets which represent Islam to the domed mosques...but all great ideas have been copied and altered such as the Colosseum in Rome and modern US Football stadiums, same concept but different designs
